Be careful of the company you keep was the warning that google sent. We payed attention extremely well, and began to build links in wheels with only the best sites with the best intentions. But what happened? Google has been hard at work again, making it harder to game the algorithm, and leaving poor hapless souls without any SEO or design experience hanging in the wind.

Not to worry though. The beauty of any situation like this is that it may affect you, but it definitely will affect your competition who has been spending millions of dollars building links and link wheels on a daily basis. So, one might ask where in the solution lies?

Now here comes the good stuff. Through careful use of the "noodp" and "noydir" tags,  you too can make some moves up the page list, rather than down. If you have carefully and creatively manipulated a keyword list out of the program, you can utilize these tags in a robots meta, and voila, all of those keywords that you worked so hard to refine actually mean something.

Here's why it works.  When you have all those great keywords, and are still in the DMOZ or Yahoo Directory, you are enjoying the ranking that you get off of that listing only.  When Yahoo or Google search your site, any clever SEO tricks that you were able to achieve with keywords go bye-bye, and you get the default directory rating as to relevancy and content.

But how do I know that this works????  Well, all I can tell you is that the proof is in the pudding.  Our site was dropped to PAGE 14!!! In 30 days, we were able to bring the site back to PAGE 1 ON GOOGLE AND YAHOO!!!!  If you Google "ocala computer" you will find this to be true.  Page 1.  Chances are that if you Googled "ocala seo" your staring at this blog.

Google Farmer/Panda Update, how does it affect your current SEO package?
